Had a blast! Met some cool Bitcoiners and won 3 games of Cornhole in the Bitcoin Games for Bit Miami.
The local Bitcoin meet I attend (Bitcoin Brunch) was contacted to speak @ The Global STEM day held at a local magnate school here in Miami, FL. So it was me and Representatives from Bitcoin Grove and Simply Bitcoin.
The day went well and we were invited to future events. We had the honor of educating the kids about money, Bitcoin, and a little financial literacy.
All the kids had heard about Bitcoin and a handful already held some in cash app. One young man knew about inflation and the root cause before we brought it up. Another's friend had already bought a car with Bitcoin.
We had some really great questions. These kids had no problem tying the money that was printed to the rise in prices of homes, goods, and services. We encouraged them to build on Bitcoin, to make it more scalable and accessable to others so that they may preserve their purchasing power over time.
In 1997 there was a law passed that allows the U.S. Treasury secretary to mint a platinum coin of any denomination and inscription. This is why there is talk of Secretary Yellen creating a $1 trillion coin to end the debt ceiling debate.
Whether this happens, they raise the debt ceiling, or there is a default. I'm taking the advice of her sign.
Cash app gave away $20 in free Bitcoin for people to spend at the market. It was a great experience to see normies using Bitcoin for the first time.
