Hey! I’ve temporarily taken it down. Cameri, me and others are trying to understand why the payment service doesn’t send the DM and show the admission message. Currently I did a test and found out that the users are being admitted after single payment into the users table but the program doesn’t inform the user about it.

Yep I’m just testing the relay. Basically it’ll still show up as green, but you can’t write/publish events I guess to paid relays unless your pubkey is added upon payment.
No, when the relay is up you just need to add it to your list after paying once.
That would work too, as long as the filters can get rid of all spam from the client handling it. Spammers can get real creative with what they post and the IP addresses too.
Basically it’s a public relay but with a one time admission fee. This way spammers can’t publish events or notes to it unless they pay the admission fee for each of their pubkeys. If they do spam, I’ll just need to black list the pubkey as there will be few such spammers.

I am refunding all 31 users who successfully paid 2500 sats for the private relay. Once the issue is resolved I will bring it back up and you can repay if you wish to rejoin.
Apologies to everyone for the trouble and delay in refunding. It's a manual process so, it's taking me time to verify and refund.
I believe that the idea is that eventually many paid relays will come up requiring admission, which would mean any user connecting to it would need to pay to publish events, notes and messages.
Eventually clients would need to provide a feature (this is just my idea) to switch between paid relays and free ones or users may gradually move to all paid relays (pay for a couple 5-6 relays and no more spam).

Steps to join my spam free relay:
1) Visit https://nostr.orangepill.dev/ to pay the invoice with your public key
2) Add wss://nostr.orangepill.dev to your relay list.
Note: If you already have it in you relay list, ignore step 2.
