As a nano 3s owner my biggest beef is the lack of metrics. I don’t know if my unit is teetering on volatility. It just runs, tells me hash and that’s it.

i use handbrake to compress all my shows before posting on nostr but even the most compressed 1080p is quite large

The trending vidoes on the main page are always so big. Takes up half the page.

I was thinking. Maybe you can add a recommend videos under the trending heading that recommends vidoes based on what we watch. Like YouTube. YouTube always shows me vidoes based on what I have watched in the past. I don't know how they do that. Maybe by cookies or something because I don't even have a YouTube account. I just watch videos as a guest. If I clear my cookies the recommended vidoes disappears until I've watched a few videos. It's really useful.

I don't want my vidoes compressed. Why does plebs have to modify my vidoes.

I downloaded your code and asked chatgpt to make me a work around so I can upload files bigger then 100MB but not wasn't possible because it said it was the blossom servers that are the limitation.

So instead it wrote me a script to trick plebs into detecting my kind 1 note so it would show up on plebs.

The script just added the URL of my already uploaded video on my server.

That's why I requested the ability of adding a URL instead of uploading a video. It worked.

But that was a work around. Your site didn't actually let me upload a 5GB video. So users still don't have anyway to upload big files through.

If you add a url which is possible because I was working on it from your downloaded code then users will be able to host add their big video files but that's only if they host their own videos files.

Most people don't want to host their own videos files because it's gets expensive and they don't have the time or will to learn severs.

well where do you want us to post our videos? Even the nostr build website has a max 500gb data for 20 USD a month and the blossom servers only have a max of 100MB. You said there is some other ones that have a max but I still need to check that out.

The plebs app also has a max of 100MB. Video is the hardest since most files are bigger then 5GB these days.

Why does a game need to be distributed accross blossom servers? It makes no sense. Does the company or individual need to pay 3 times? Nobody is going to host massive games files for free and nobody is going to pay 3 times to host a game file when they can just host it themselves.

The steam idea makes sense but not the blossom server idea. I mean the NSFW uploaders are getting their files deleted from blossom servers so blossom servers are still censored. The server administrator is still responsible for the content on their severs.

I'm not sure exactly what they are trying to achieve with the blossom servers.

The blossom servers are not a good solution. Their limit is only 100MB while games can be up to 80GB. Blossom servers in theory sound good but they are a fail in the long run. They make no sense.
