I think you're ignoring the impact such an action would have on the stability of the Bitcoin market, and subsequently the price of Bitcoin. It would send the network into absolute chaos which would result in plummeting market prices as confidence dramatically dropped. The people with the most likely ability to do this are also the people who have the biggest interest in maintaining the stability of the blockchain, and the Bitcoin market.

Hmmm. For a long time I've seen Bitcoin as a progressive & drawn out currency reset

The current fiat system is collapsing under an ever increasing load of devalued debt.

A global currency & debt reset is coming.

Bitcoin is an opt in reset rather than 1 imposed by a government. A way for an individual to progressively cash in their worthless (every year) chips.

I like the concept of a correction but what exactly is being corrected? The fiat currencies are toxic garbage, they're beyond correction.

I think you mean that it's a correction in the sense of righting a wrong. Of returning the value back to the individuals that have worked & are working for it. Fiat currencies create an illusion that this world is scarce in resources. Bitcoin is showing us that it's not the case, that this world is abundant in resources when they're properly allocated.

I definitely think Bitcoin is part of a course correction for humanity.

I have actually thought about this for in the future. This will be a very tricky metric. And I honestly don't know what the answer will be. Going to need someone far more intelligent than I to answer that question.

Once Sats are the medium of exchange for everyone in the world, those Sats will gain value on a daily basis depending on how much value the world created. Bitcoin will have to encompass that value. Like I said, a very tricky metric. I am not sure how we would measure that.

However, we are still in the very early stages of adoption. We are no where close to having to wrangle with that issue as of yet.

Right now, we are still measuring Bitcoin's monetary value in Dollars, or whatever national currency you use. Unless you as a business want to go in and change your prices on a daily, or even hourly basis (God candles) then I would suggest charging a firm fiat price that is denominated in Sats, and only accept Sats.

Perhaps someone has a better idea, but that's just my 2 Sats.
