I think there is a fundamental disagreement that happens between many of us bitcoiners and the stereotypical progressive environmentalist

We think more energy use is good for humanity and essential

They think more energy use is bad for the planet and thus bad for humanity

We have to find the ability to agree on that fundamental principle, and I’m hoping bitcoin mining through renewables, including nuclear, can help folks understand more energy use is a good thing when done in the right way.

I’ve gotten some asks about the company. It’s Commonwealth Fusion Systems (https://cfs.energy/) and I would share more but below is what is already on there site so I’ll reserve sharing more that was done through conversation

Btw this fusion energy company (yes based in Massachusetts) plans to have a fusion power plant that will be able to demonstrate its power creation by 2025. It won’t be integrated into the grid by then, but holy shit this is cool stuff.

just had a meeting with a fusion energy company working with magnets as well, as they’re interested in connecting with schools and students for internships
