I’ve tried all the apps that have attempted an Exodus from Twitter. They all sucked. They all felt like farting into the wind. I’m amazed, but also enthralled as to the reason that nostr is different. I’m heard, you’re heard, and sending posts gets engagement. Can someone who understands the architecture explain what is different here from, say, gab or truth social or parlour?

Mi Primer Bitcoin and New Story have (or are working forward) receiving hashrate donations from miners. Essentially a hashrate donation is a pledge of X amount of hash power for Y amount of time. Miners can also donate ASICs and this go from donating satsflow to donating cash flowing assets.

It's a tough time to fundraise from miners who are out there fighting for their lives, but the idea of hashrate donations or ASIC donations is one that I think can really help nonprofits get out from under the business model that necessitates wealthy cantillionaires to fund it in the first place.

Some ideas of how I may do this for my org:

- raise money for professional clothes for our high school students going to internships

- transportation costs (subway, bus) for low-income folks to get to their jobs

- student scholarships
