gm pv welcome to my nostr crib | here since block 768753 All in on freedom tech and Bitcoin, supporting humanity’s global struggle for freedom in the 21st century. Thoughts after using Bluesky, nostr, and twitter:

twitter - post minimally, more informational

nostr - bitcoin dreamers, can post more reflectivity there and connected with people I trust

Bluesky - can be more widely/openly progressive there without attacks

They each have something different to offer and different drawbacks. Twitter brings out the most hate/division by far. Functionality and features, nostr has a strong concept and knows where it’s heading…will anyone care is the question (I do!).

Yup! Just seeing what else is out there/other communities

Night walks 👀

Beware the politician that’s says, “see, I’m one of you!”

The 2008 global financial crises happened, the government colluded with Wall Street and bailed out banks and the elite. Satoshi saw this and said, “nah, fuck that.”

Enter stage left, #bitcoin

Governments aren’t supposed to “like it.” Big banks aren’t supposed to like it. If they do, if they don’t, it’s not for them.

It’s for us.

Gm & Pv nostr 🌞☕️

It’s the Friday before I have 2 weeks off for a vacation on the other side of the pond. It’s been a minute since I’ve traveled out of the country, and I’m ecstatic ✈️ 🇫🇷 🇨🇭

My man nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy is essentially power all of Nostr's data needs. Zap this guy and toss him a follow. From indexing data, to powering search for multiple clients, to providing curated feeds, he's doing great work for Nostr.

Amazing, gave a follow and added the popular relay to curate global on damus. Literally took 2 seconds. This is the way 🫡

It’s getting to the point on twitter where I won’t be able to post much of anything without at least allowing only comments from those I follow, or just not posting.

I hate censoring, and only ever block someone if they comment a horrendous personal attack on me or my family.

Twitter is not a place for constructive conversation, or to flesh out ideas. The hate is growing, and many on their who engage the most are toxic, sick people.

I want to get messages around progressive values, bitcoin, etc out to a wider audience, as nostr still has a ways to go with audience capture. But my preference would be to just utilize nostr and utilize Apple News for news, that’s it.

As bitcoiners it’s the constant struggle of envisioning better money but dealing with the fiat world as it is, envisioning a better social media (nostr), but dealing with the current landscape as it is (twitter), etc

Yeah important questions to ask, but I won’t vote for someone just because they say they like bitcoin. And I know that’s not what you’re saying, but bitcoin for me is a tool towards the principles and values I most believe in…but those values are what’s most important. My ethical principles are most important, and it varies across the spectrum, centered by people and our shared connection, freedom for all, and love of each other and our planet.

Fair and I see the point, but still no. My values don’t align with his on several points (happy to discuss offline/nest/in person, etc 🫂)
