Most of us Bitcoiners are alone. Especially if you live in a space where there is not a lot of Bitcoiners. So podcasts, and Nostr, are safe places to listen to like minded people, but also get inspired and get ideas.
There's so many things to learn in Bitcoin and there is always something you can learn from somebody else either in terms of what they do with their Bitcoin or a mindset they have with their Bitcoin

Fair Market Value accounting starts Jan 2025
Under the previous accounting rules, companies were required to record impairment losses when the value of crypto decreased but we're not allowed to recognize gains when values rebounded.
The new rules allow for FAIR VALUE Accounting, which means companies can now report both gains and losses, allowing for a more accurate representation of the financial health of companies holding Bitcoin.

Every Sat matters. That is interesting to think about. How amazing is Bitcoin, that it gets people to pick up pennies on the sidewalk. I have to admit, I have not thought of sidewalk pennies as SATs, but I am still in the process of deconstructing my wasteful Fiat mindset. Thank you for this thought nugget.
It's so easy to Zap, and people really appreciate receiving them almost as much as people enjoy zapping them.
Especially for the everyday person broadcasting a message for all to enjoy. They are not trying to keep food on the table with their content, but with Zaps, they definitely feel the love and are more willing to spread it, because even though it may average out to only 1 penny, It feels like more and it feels genuine.
Buying #shitcoins is nihilistic. You think everything is shit, your life is shit, you think you have no hope for the future. I'm going to put $10,000 in this thing and maybe it's going to 1,000x in the next 2 months, I don't care if it does nothing for the world, I dont care if it snaps into a piece of shit. I'm either going to sleep in a tent or buy a Lamborghini. That's nihilism, that's fatalism.
