Jup, das ist auch meine Erfahrung. Was wirklich bezeichnend ist: Ich habe durch meine Frau einen ganz guten Einblick in die hiesige vietnamesische Community, und dort ist die einhellige Meinung, dass wir alle bekloppt geworden sind und gerade dabei sind so etwas wie nationalen Suizid zu begehen.

Die Vietnamesen haben da auch deutlich weniger Hemmungen die Missstände deutlich anzusprechen...

Ich liebe ja Unix(-artige OS), aber nach einem Tag gebastel an Shell Scripts die geschrieben wurden als ich noch in der Grundschule war (wir haben hier teilweise prähistorische Technik im Einsatz) brauche ich jetzt erstmal ne Auszeit und einen Abend mit wenig Bildschirmzeit

Deutlich angenehmere Temperaturen heute morgen, trotzdem muss ich mein Hirn erstmal mit einem starken, heißen, schwarzen Kaffee auftauen...

Monday, back at work on a dark, rainy but mild day in fall, the type of weather that gives the two towns where i live this special "somehow stuck in an 80s cyberpunk / blade runner vibe"... and i really like the mood of it.

Now... its time for the first coffee while the workstation is starting up, then grind on a project that is due on Friday with a big conference happening on next tuesday.

Well, my dad has vascular dementia (which was at first wrongly diagnosed as Alzheimer)... luckily its very, very slow progressing.

Waking up early on a cold calm sunday morning, while wife and son are still asleep i took a little walk outside and enjoyed the silence outside, watched a couple of deers farther away who were surprised to see someone out there that early... as I returned my family began to wake up.

At the moment i am a very happy man.

This was the first really productive day after weeks... and I am feeling great being myself again.
