I get very annoyed when I see vitamin/mineral supplements or other ostensibly-healthy products that contain sodium benzoate. It combines with vitamin C to form cancerous benzene.

I guess it comes down to what you can afford to do in your own life and how much you're willing to obsess over it. In the end, we all have to eat, and most people can't afford the kind of nutrition they need to be truly healthy (which ends up being a matter of time and willpower, i.e. organic farming, not money).

But even then, the whole world is tainted with various chemicals from various disasters. We're all swimming in a giant, unflushed toilet, and maybe the best thing to do is to try to get to the edges instead of swimming in the middle.

The best part about Jesus driving out the merchants is that he made the whip himself, beforehand. It was a premeditated act that he planned out, not just some spur of the moment thing.

I hear food coloring does some pretty weird things to people, personality-wise, too.

That's interesting, all I ever hear about is "KJV or you're going to hell," though there are some who think the ESV is okayish. I'm more of a NKJV enjoyer myself. May have to start reading NASB or this new translation to see what it's like.

Too bad we don't all have the time and will to learn Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic so that we don't have to rely on the good intentions of translators (who don't all have good intentions).
