A short-term patch defibrillator will be even more convenient for patients when indicated.

FDA approves new AI-enabled patch defibrillator. The Jewel Patch-WCD was designed to monitor patients for extended periods of time for signs of sudden cardiac arrest, delivering real-time data to their care teams. It can be worn for up to a week at a time, with no daily maintenance required, and was built to be both durable and resistant to water. The newly approved device also includes advanced AI algorithms trained to minimize the risk of false alarms and inappropriate shocks.

Does it seem like the US is headed towards stagflation? 🇺🇸 Despite Trump's promised cuts, the Trump Administration spent > $200 billion more in first 100 days versus the Biden Administration last year. We can expect with the expected increase in the federal deficit inflation will go up as well. If the Trump tariffs continue then large American corporations have two options either to pass the costs on to Americans (higher prices) or layoff American employees to save for the costs of the higher tariffs (higher unemployment). If the tariffs continue as is the end results will be either higher prices for Americans or higher unemployment for Americans and either way higher costs from higher inflation because of increased government spending from the Trump Administration. 🇺🇸 If this continues it certainly seems that the US is headed towards stagflation, which is worse than a recession. The last time the US economy was in stagflation was in the early 1970s.

Does it seem like the billionaires advising President Trump don’t understand how their economic policies are impacting Americans? 🇺🇸‘Nowhere to turn': American small businesses dependent on imports from China are feeling more desperate. 🇺🇸 Given that many of these products are not made in the United States and small businesses don’t make enough money to build factories in the United States many of these American small businesses could go out of business later this year or decrease substantially in size and layoff many of their American employees if tariffs continue. The Trump Administration has no reported plans to build factories in the United States to produce any of these products that small businesses import or to create similar jobs if American small businesses have to shut down because of the Trump tariffs.

One of the thousands of American small businesses impacted: Over the past three weeks, WS Game has had three containers of finished games, worth $500,000, stranded in China. It lost orders from three of the largest U.S. retailers totaling $16 million in business. And there’s not much Silva can do about it.

“As a small business, we don’t have the runway or the capabilities to move manufacturing on a whim,” said Silva, who has 22 employees. He said the tariffs have “disrupted our business and put us on the verge of insolvency” and estimates he has about a four-month runway to stay afloat if nothing changes.
