Planting season is on. Planting mesquite starts, rootone hormone powder and biochar you can see in shovel on left. Hope they root well I need a lot of mesquite trees.
Also more nopal or paddle cactus divided and planted. Notice small line to pick up and move without touching. Larger cactus we use large rope to avoid the spines most have.

One of the better videos explaining regenerative ranching in a desert and the benefits of it. Very similar to what we'll be doing here in at the ranch in Baja Calif. Sur, Mexico. Along with permaculture practices to gain the most from what nature provides.
Beautiful foggy morning, just a few days early for out May grey and June gloom months known by many that live along the Pacific Ocean coast.
For us at the ranch it's the "not so" dry season as everything gets watered yet will be dry n hot by afternoon.
The second photo is to show the use of "garbage" palm cuttings a friend gave me, that I covered the berm with. This "waste" helps capture the moisture and shade the soil while new growth begins to happen.
