And no, I won’t be using Jetpack, for the exact same reasons they can jog right on. Firing data from software I pay to live on a server isn’t complex nor is it cost heavy, so why should I have to pay some middle man to do nothing but wants to charge me rent ?
and before anybody starts, I’d search for it (which I have) but search engines can’t find fuck all any more except more paid plugins or services with articles generated from click farms getting some of that sweet referral data
Because everything is ultra enshittified now, I can’t seem to find a #WordPress Plugin that is FREE that can do a web hook outward when a post is created with a specific category. Zapier 50 bux a month, IFTTT can fuck right off even if it was a euro a year (but it’s not).

In the last 24 hours IFTTT changed Web Hooks from a free to a premium feature without warning. IFTTT can in fact, fuck right off with this.
I just discovered why my WP Backup plugin was taking forever to do anything and it’s because every WP Cron instruction guide is stolen from one dumb instruction guide that doesn’t tell you how to do it right 🙄
