What I absolutely know what will happen is that I’ll get an offer for some long ass 80 hours a week trying to ride me for that price thinking I’m going to undercut other freelancers. I see the freelancers who do that, whether by need or by greed, and I don’t want to be painted with that brush

I don’t expect to pick up anything, but one or two little projects that would otherwise be priced out of my expertise works well for me financially but also ethically - the price matches what I’m able to offer in time and is still at a livable wage for me

This is to say I am super concious that my rate is substantially lower than the market rate on the basis that I only have one or two days available at best, if it’s a long term project I can only really touch in once every 7 days, and really I’m happy to offer to small businesses on these conditions

I’m trying to word very nicely on a professional site that I’m available for small projects for small business with a small budget as an extra, but if you’re a big business looking to fuck over other freelancers I will absolutely quote you market rates + 50% for the audacity of it all
