I get the same feeling posting on Nostr as I do sending a #Bitcoin transaction.
A feeling of freedom.
Been training to get my pilot's license the past year.
It's a much slower process than I expected mostly just because the weather makes it hard to fly as often as I'd like.
The latest roadblock is smoke from forest fires making it so I can't fly. Very frustrating.
Unless you are going out to mine your own minerals, you will eventually have to trust something.
IMO if you can trust apple hardware, i think you can trust google hardware. To each their own though.

I agree, i don't think they are profitable now.
I think their mindset is that they see themselves as a key player in the lightning economy that will develop (they hope).

I've managed to switch a lot of my apps to PWAs in the past few weeks both on mobile and desktop.
I always thought most services would be better just loading a webpage in it's own window than being an entire program that can observe things about the OS and device it's on.
If Bitcoin is banned it just means it works at taking power from the state.
