Thanks! I vividly remember IRC and ICQ like they were yesterday. Newsgroups were such an interesting way to pirate stuff as well. There does seem to be human patterns that always creep up slowly in any new platform. I always have a bit of a "hope" that this time around will be different, but sadly we are just animals by nature. I've always felt I am a bit of a "watcher" by nature. I cannot stop any of this from happening. Just stand on the side and watch the same train wreck happen again. At least with Nostr we can all get tips for voicing our opinions and not get banned for it.
For those NOT attending #Nostrica, this is how cliques and VIP groups start to form on budding technologies. I have seen it time and again across several platforms. Those who can afford to attend or are connected versus those who have to work the lowly fiat mines just to barely cover rent. Watch as these groups create exclusivity and you are left behind. It is a sad sad reality that always happens. I love the idea of Nostr but can already see it happening. Maybe there will even soon be a relay for Nostrica only attenders? Why would someone already on top of the pointy mountain want others to share that little space with? Each incline experiences the same issue. Too many all at once, too little room for you. Humans by nature want to control their space. This goes for the wealthy, they've already mastered the current system and they don't want to share, so why would they support a new system like BTC?

It's sad that the price of everything is going up, yet the quality of the items is getting worse. Bought the same pair of shoes as I did 10 years ago, for $10 more than before. The material feels thinner, more flimsy, and cheaper. These won't last that long. None of us can stop this by ourselves, but at least stacking sats can help us hedge inflation and the corporate games.
So much negative energy in the stock and crypto markets right now. Nostr seems to be the only place for positive vibes.
