Imagining sovereign city states and municipalities with #Bitcoin (of course).

Societies can resemble heaven or hell. Our’s seems to resemble the latter. Like the firsts episodes of ‘The Good Place’.

Erdogan wins by a small margin. It’s a bad news for his country. If it weren’t for BTC and the internet, Turkish people would be dammed. But at least these technologies enable a small raft to float away and build something valuable.

I think art is only justified/valuable when the work of art unveils more than the object it’s depicting. Otherwise a photograph suffices.

We’re trying to orangepill some public servants and decision-makers in Latin America, would you zap some sats our way to help us buy more #[0]‘s Bitcoin standard for them?

Spanish is a tricky language to speak straightforwardly. You either convey euphemisms or insults with nothing in between.

English is way better because it’s more “physical” (as Borges said) and therefore, more practical.

When you say that a founder of some organization was a narcissist, you are referring to a personality disorder and that’s that.

On the contrary, talking in Spanish about the same person as “era un narcisista” sounds like you’re insulting him. But saying “padecía un transtorno narcisista” sounds a bit too bland. Of course you can say “las notas características de la personalidad narcisista estaban entremezcladas con su conducta cotidiana de forma profunda” but, by the time the reader finishes you have lost their attention.

Welcome #[0] !

The only possible, truly human future (and present) with computers, algorithms and automation is one in which we are the masters. That takes bravery and strength. The alternative is the easy path of loosing our humanity.

I love building tools for human flourishing using AI.

I despise most of today’s efforts that rather want to make AI pass as a new golden calf, though.

How to identify one from the other? I think that the first approach has proof of work, meaning it’s tested by time. The second approach tends to be ideological (eg, “the era of AI has begun”) and it’s closed to hope and mercy.

The state won’t go without a fight. That’s why you need to be in a weaker state (but not a failed one).

The whole fiat construction lies upon the idea that somehow a shallow “scientific” analysis can replace thousands of years of learning and adaptation (evolution).

I’d like to buy products that last. Even when they seem expensive at first glance, they are certainly cheaper when they last for decades.

Why do I need to change a fridge, a laundry machine, a car, or a microwave oven every 5 years? The technology doesn’t change that much.

Hypotheses: there’s a paradox when assessing liberty in a given place. The more liberty there is, the stricter the compliance of the few rules that exist.

AI is mind-blowing. It needs constraints. However, they will not come from ethics or government regulation. They will come from prof-of-work.

Una vida comienza, la otra termina. Una es esperanza, otra, plenitud.

This is extremely clownish. I mean the experimental treatment was supposedly only good for some months. People who took it a year ago or earlier are “protected” in the same way as people who never took it.

Thinking about a BTC themed vintage product.

Which wallets support zapping?

If Lowery’s intuition holds, militarization in Latin America can be counteracted by holding BTC.
