Many people came to Bitcoin through left leaning movements such as Occupy Wall Street, the large scale protest movement that was born in response to the same Great Financial Crisis that birthed Bitcoin itself. They too saw a need to disintermediate the banks in the global economy in the wake of the disastrous consequences that resulted from their reckless and irresponsible gambling with everyday people’s savings and investments in the course of operating the economy.

Ok. Wenn extreme Verschärfungen von aktuellen Problemen wie Nahrungsmittelknappheit, Flüchtlingsströme und Unwetter noch keine Katastrophen sind, sondern nur der komplett unbewohnbare Planet, dann musst du für die nächsten Jahrzehnte weniger besorgt sein.
Einen Chor von Wissenschaftlern zu einem Thema nennt man wissenschaftlichen Konsens.
Ich stimme dir zu, dass kritische Stimmen zuzulassen sehr wichtig ist. Aber alles was ich bisher von Skeptikern und diesem Film gesehen habe, sind Cherry-picking Daten und Halbwahrheiten.
Misstrauen gegenüber der Politik ist prinzipiell immer angebracht.
In welchem Ausmaß uns der Klimawandel trifft, ist leider nicht sicher. Wir (du und ich) werden nicht in den nächsten 50 Jahren daran zugrundegehen.
Ich bin froh, dass du es als Problem anerkennst das angegangen werden sollte.

Ja vor 50 Mio Jahren. Homo Sapiens gibt es seit 0,3 mio Jahren Jahren.
Lass mal unsere heutige Zivilisation in die Wetterextreme von vor 50 Mio Jahren leben. Daraus macht dir Roland Emmerich eine Regal voller Filme.
Die Doku verwechselt auch mal wieder Wetter mit Klima. Selbstverständlich sind 1,5 Grad mehr an einem Ort zu einer Zeit nichts besonderes, weil Wettertemperaturen selbst mehr schwanken. harter facepalm
Heat island effect, ok, sowas hat durchaus ein möglicher Einfluss auf die Messdaten. (Als ob Wissenschaftler die die das auswerten nicht auch selbst sowas bemerken.)
Die Ozean Daten zeigen aber ebenfalls eine (etwas weniger) starke Erwärmung.
Bleibt also nix als ein Punkt der gennant wird um Zweifel zu sähen.
Vielleicht schaffe ich es noch mich durch die zweite Hälfte zu quälen.
Ich wäre aber wirklich erstaunt, wenn da noch was kommt was nicht klassischer Klimawandel FUD ist.
… Ich gebe ja zu, dass es beeindruckend wirkt, wenn da ein Nobelpreisträger sowas sagt. Aber das ist halt 1 fachfremder Dude (von einer Hand voll) der sowas behauptet.
Man kann ja uber die Methodik und die Daten debattieren. Aber dann sollte man auch DAS machen und nicht einen Film posten der ein Zusammenschnitt aus je 2-3 schockigen Sätzen von Experten und super flachen Pseudoargumenten ist.
