And here's the final product. 23 bottles of this 13. #mead. Clear amber in color, medium dry, faint floral notes in the aftertaste. 11.8% alcohol content, better served chilled.

Preparing to bottle the #mead.

I'm filtering out as much yeast as I can to increase the stability of the final product.

For that, I first filtered it with a mesh to remove most of the yeast cake that forms at the bottom. Now, on the second stage I'm using the bazooka filter of my brewing kettle and some filter papers to do the fine work.

It's a slow process, but hopefully it's worth the time.

Awesome! I'll check it out later today <3

Flip side, you can give her the coal briskets and she won't be able to tell the difference

Tomorrow I'm turning one month old in #nostr and I'm loving it.

I can still feel the warm welcome from the #plebchain, although admittedly, #grownostr has become my favorite tag. It's crazy to think that just a month ago I was tweeting to the void to be seen by maybe 5 people and now I'm just shy of 100 followers.

Also, I have decided I'm stopping to like notes and instead I'll just zap. Every time I feel I'd just like it, I'll zap a sat instead. I'm not going #onlyzaps mode, because I genuinely appreciate people liking my notes. I just decided that I will interact with the protocol this way.

How I just felt

Scrapping day!

I'm saving this old laptop that was going to be thrown away by their previous owner and turn it into a miniPC running a node. Doing my part to reduce electronic waste.

AFAIK it's only pruned at the moment, so I the problem remains

I have been running a #bitcoin pruned node for some time on my old laptop. I never really paid much attention to LN because I wasn't really using it.

Since I came to #nostr I have become curious about it and with all the zapping I thought I might have a go.

It seems running a LN node with a pruned node is possible but problematic. Most of the info I've been finding can be summarized as "get a Pi 4 and do it there", which is a cost I can't assume nor justify.

So, what say you folks? Any help and tips will be much appreciated.
