Today I am reading lots of journal articles about identity formation, personality traits and maturation in teens and young adults. Suddenly the stuff James Lindsay says about state-run schools intentionally destroying and making fluid the identity of children sounds even more sinister. That's supposed to be a platform that gives structure that young people can rely on for the rest of their lives... If you're curious, go listen to what James has to say happens and where the ideology comes from in his 'Groomer Schools' series.

I think they will support UBI in Australia once the fifteen-minute-city project is complete. I was reading a paper about this recently. Let me find the link....
I feel like the very little I know of Proudhon is 100% at odds with Rothbard... 🤔
The advances in technology have gone far to enslave humanity.
I'm more a Rothbard, Spooner and Tolstoy kinda girl.
It's not really working... I read that and moved on 🤷🏽♀️
We don't really have a capitalist government these days, we have parasitic crony capitalism. Just look at all the corporations attempting to sway public opinion on the voice referendum and the way the gov interferes in markets...
I think I read he's the guy who coined the phrase "property is theft"? That's why I'm suss on him.
I have no idea what Macarthur said. I haven't paid attention to him in at least a decade. The folder sounds interesting.
I've never heard of Proudhon but a quick google suggests he was more socialist than any anarchist I'm familiar with 🤔Anarcho-communism is an oxymoron... But then socialists/Marxists seem to be all about blindly holding onto contradictions to me.
I get the 'little treasures' thing listening to The Lord of Spirits Podcast was full if them and the reason I wandered into an Orthodox Church.
I've read a few of the non-canonical books hanging around in the first century Jewish communities, Enoch being the most memorable. They never lessened my interest in the Bible though.
It sounds like I have to go back and read Esther and Daniel.
I was raised Protestant but I haven't considered myself that for some time... I'm probably just a heretic with little beliefs from all over the Christian world view and practices.
I still have to attempt to reconcile other Orthodox beliefs and practices... I'm a proper pacifist though which is why Macabbes is a hard pill to swallow. I also believe blind following of any human being is immoral so the hierarchy gets me confused. And Jesus said to call no man Father so 🤔
But I am just here trying to reconcile these things.
Genuinely interested to what ends UBI is a means to in your world view.. Not just aimlessly name calling. I forgot tone doesn't convey well online.
It's been a struggle to read through them actually.. Tackling them seems to have made me less interested in the Bible where I used to have a much healthier interest.
I got my first Orthodox Study Bible about a month ago and have slowly been reading through the extras. Tobit was wild, 1 Maccabees seems like weirdly placed war stories 🤔 The study notes are few... I don't know what I'm supposed to make of the extras.
So you're a socialist or neo-marxist?
