What are your thoughts on Farcaster and Warpcast?
What’s the best client to use on Mac arm? Or best is web based? What are you using? #asknostr
What are nostr related sites/apps you visit daily/weekly? #asknostr
It was a big deal for me. I’m 25 and grown there from junior.
I was the first employee in the agency and glad I've contributed to its success directly and indirectly, by the time I left:
• Agency's revenue grown significantly
• Team grown to 4 full time designers
• Our clients exited for over $2B in total
• Contributed 6600+ hours of work, research, meetings in total
Anyone looking for a product designer now? I’ll be monitoring Bitcoin community for opportunities for my next job to be a lot more meaningful.
Excited to announce I parted ways with my full time agency job today!
I developed a disaffection for corporations, for how slow they are and for how they work.
Can there be a nostr client for web perhaps that’s a copy of the twitter before it became X?
Launched a product today!
Dinosave – Chrome Extension: Save products, build wishlists, track price drops and more https://www.producthunt.com/posts/dinosave-chrome-extension
Happy 15 years to Bitcoin's white paper 🎉
That's the only thing I'm celebrating today
Is it a good idea to make an invite only client which will only show posts from people that are in?
This way there’ll be almost no bots, just need to figure out how to go about inviting when people are anonymous
It just looks and feels better than any nostr client I've seen so far.
Just look at where the text of the post starts and compare it to posts or twitter. I think only this small tweak makes a big difference compared to Snort, Damus for what I've just checked
Lume v2 - alpha release 🚀
Yo, Lume v2 is ready to testing, you can download here: https://github.com/luminous-devs/lume/releases/tag/v2.0.0
There are many planned features that are not yet ready to be shipped in this build. I am still working on them, and will release new build shortly after. 🔥
I hope the #nostrdesign team can try it out and give me some feedback on the overall UI/UX.
Thank you for using Lume, despite Lume still being far from an "everyday nostr client". However, I will keep working on it.

Interesting take.
As for bugs, just tried to reply in Luma and got an empty screen now nothing happening
Also in general, when each client can show your post in a different way -> by definition makes viewing experience chaotic.
When it's more being shared than a text -> link, image, post etc.
Just found out https://posts.cv/ exists
Looks similar to twitter and pretty clean and slick.
I think a lot of nostr clients would benefit from copying it or twitter first before diverging into it's own thing - getting the basics right like posts layout etc.

Imagine how many startups the government could've funded with amount of money like this?
It's $1 mil for 100,000 startups and $500k for 200,000 startups for a seed round.
For an indie bootstrapper it'd be enough money to live for multiple years and build many valuable things for other people, community and state.
US will always get these money back from the VATs and other taxes because you'll inevitable pay them when you shop, hire people and from everything else that you do with money.
That's also like at least 200k jobs created instantly, it seems like economy goes in that direction anyways where many people need to quit their boring jobs and do something they truly care about.
And government has the best positioning to provide aid for that because VCs and investors only want money as a return.
Government could also issue bounties like that for up to a $1mil to improve on every aspect of the government and locally.
The communities themselves can come up with ideas and identify the problems to fix and put money into, maybe even without the middleman - the government to allow them to.
Like if there is a broken bench, any person with skills and time could take funds off the fund and fix it that day or order a new one etc, with government this would take days by minimum.
I think most taxes should go towards the area you live in and the digital projects for it and the country that you have to use anyways.
Switzerland has it a bit like that and even small towns there are spotless, very well built, for people with reduced mobility as well, long and carefully designed bike lanes that aren't existing in big cities in other countries even.
And so whenever most of your taxes are paid to the main entity controlling the whole big country, it can't effectively work with and improve on every neighbourhood.
I think the best way of living and governance is within smaller neighborhoods/areas, that's when you can get deep into every details of everything around you
You can’t grow it forever, people already can be at the point of spending all of the time they have on youtube without paying.
And then start paying for it is a huge challenge because it’s just entertainment that’s made in a way for you to come back often
Google getting desperate? First 2 ads in a row then quality lock, unskippable ads…
What’s next? 5 min unskippable ads like we had on tv?
That’s the feeling I get whenever I try to watch something without an ad block.
Recently in a 18min video there were 5! breaks with 2 ads each.

We are trying quick actions on Damus when you tap on a user avatar in the feed. Which option would you choose?
The idea is to show actions such as buy me a coffee or zap(since we can’t zap a note) and even send message without going to their profile.
Any thoughts? Feedback? Comments? Issues with this proposed design?

where’s message on the second one? I like highlighted zap. If there are data points to tell which actions are more often used than others - can make it visually so.
When you have multiple actions that are visually really close it makes it harder to find the one you looking for and choose in general
