Ran into a "sports news" site which is almost certainly all AI-generated. All the articles -- dozens and dozens a day-- are credited to a male "NBA fan" who is a "dentist". If you look them up, it seems like they've stolen the name and approximate details of a female dentist. (female, not male name). And the articles are all re-swizzled versions of other published articles, i.e. the AI is plagiarizing articles at scale. Not unusual and unexpected nowadays, but annoying.

So interesting to see people who are pretending climate change isn't happening, fascism isn't happening. Zero awareness (apparently deliberate). Someone told me "I don't look at the news anymore now". I can understand metered exposure (can't bombard yourself with it 100%), but ZERO exposure seems to be the best way to get smacked upside the head.

My current prediction is we are about to enter a US depression (not recession, a depression) combined with massive climate disasters with no federal assistance and states scrambling to mount their own recovery/response efforts. Meanwhile, the crypto grifters will siphon off the US Treasury into their own crypto coins (making them multi-billioniares). Third term President and/or South African billionaire appointed to "run" the country under some kind of manufactured national emergency.
