The concept was simple: buy a node and support their work sending computers to school kids in Malawi. We raised and donated over £2000! At the end of the fundraiser I was disappointed that the Turing Trust wanted the donation in fiat... 😞
The initiative had an impact however and after receiving the fiat donation (and watching the bitcoin price rip to 100k) the Turing Trust have now agreed to accept and HODL bitcoin as payment for the computers from now on.
