I said this in a nest once and it pissed off a LOT of people....

But like... In film school they literally teach that "anything edited is propaganda" even if you agree with it, or you think it isn't, or you think the message is the truth. Raw data video is fact. Anything edited even if it's just music behind the thing affects your emotions and therefore colors what you see.

Eisenstein proved you can give meaning to a clip through editing. Take a clip of a man with a blank face and it's a blank face. Take that same clip, blank face man then splice in a plate of food and go back to his blank face and you instantly feel his hunger. Put in a dead animal and you instantly feel his sadness.

Anything edited is propaganda. And not all propaganda is what you think of as bad🤷🏽 the important thing is to be critical and discerning of everything you see.

Damus is just a browser, it is not designed to police the internet. Is there an expectation that google chrome detects and blocks this stuff? Maybe once edge ai gets good enough we can detect and hide it automatically

Well I think about half of marriages end in divorce, so you’ll see more couples divorcing as time goes on in your personal friend group. I’m not sure if that figure is increasing tho, maybe it is.

I guess it makes sense there could be multiple versions of my profile out there.
