At a small Princeton event last week, among other panels and speeches, Carole House spoke about censoring bitcoin.

She is the former director of cybersecurity for the White House National Security Council, and prior to that was at FinCEN focusing on cryptocurrencies, and prior to that was in the military.

Some of her main points:

-Energy-related regulation may push some hash rate outside of the U.S., whereas she would rather see more of it in the U.S. so that they can force miners to censor the network on the base layer. She also views international cooperation as a necessary component for successful censorship. She also wants stakers to be forced to censor their PoS networks.

-It's not just about telling miners not to mine certain transactions, but to not even build atop blocks that have non-compliant transactions, so that those transactions don't get anywhere in the chain. A 51% attack, in other words. Her main concern is censoring states like North Korea from being able to participate in the network.

The event was interesting because there were several very different perspectives. On one hand there was Roya Mahboob talking about using bitcoin in Afghanistan, followed by Troy Cross, Craig Warmke, and Natalie Smolenski talking about the importance of bitcoin from an ethical perspective. On the other hand, there were panels about Bored Apes and speeches about how to censor the networks.

These paid endorsements were often undisclosed. He is one of the worst actors in the crypto space and anyone associated with him is complicit.

I'm receiving 21 sats from every post I make from #[0] but honestly I'm not really sure I like it. Every time I receive 1 sat or more for something I wrote I feel it like a special thing because someone liked what I said and wanted to share sats. But if it's automated I don't feel it that way

There are probably guides but I don't know one off hand. You need:

1. A lightning wallet that supports LNURL or LN address, and optionally NIP-57 (zaps). Options: Wallet of Satoshi, Alby, ln.tips, possibly others

2. A nostr client that supports NIP-57 (zaps). Different clients have different options: fixed amount, custom amounts, etc.

Looks like you already have WoS. For clients there are lots of options now too, but if the one you're using doesn't have the options you want, just try another one. Amethyst, Damus, nostrgram, snort are probably the best options at the moment.

The bot is simple. It "watches" my account and, for every "like" (NIP-25 reaction) I do, it will automatically tip a certain amount of sats to the LN Address of the author of that note.

- I will "like" your reply, which should trigger my bot to tip you 1000 sats to your LN Address

- I will ask you to confirm if you received them

- check your LN wallet and let me know if you received them or not
