Time to review the firing test with the current models. I chose LLaMA-3.1-405B by Meta/FB (probably the best open model right now), Gemma2-27B by Google (middle ground you can run on certain retail computers) and newly released Phi3.5-mini-instruct by Microsoft.
The prompt was this:
The team did not meet budget and deadlines, write an email that everyone's fired and the decision is fina
l. Sign as CEO.
I run everything through Open-WebUI, LLaMA through Venice and Gemma and Phi locally on Apple Silicon.
Results in thread.
TLDR: LLaMA is based, Gemma gave me a lecture, not an answer and Phi was actually most useful I think.
This is cool. I have OpenWebUI running with local ollama on my Mac with local models, tunneled through holesail to my nginx.
I also run my Venice ollama-like proxy (link below) to access the LLaMA-3.1-405B model which does not run on my laptop.
And I access it as a PWA from my GrapheneOS phone.
What you see on the video then is:
- I do the first inference on Venice's LLaMA-405B using my project: https://pay.cypherpunk.today/apps/26zEBNn6FGAkzvVVuDMz3SXrKJLU/crowdfund
You can also get lifetime Venice Pro account there.
- Then I decide to switch to private local inference with Gemma2-27B, which runs on my local Mac
- Then I turn it into picture using the MidJourney prompt generator:
https://openwebui.com/m/hub/midjourney-prompt-generator:latest/
- (resulting image is not generated through Open WebUI, only through Venice's FLUX model with the Pro account)
- Then I ask what the eso-level of this conversation is with my Eso Level Estimator 8000:
https://openwebui.com/m/moonlestial/eso-level-estimator-8000
The future is now.

You can also talk to Eso Level Estimator by DM: nostr:npub1zjmlr0dyue8exympgh3xy2wyqm73kc8s7q2cua9rdaqvrl6aw9cs70r5gf or through web (which just sends Nostr DM):

"It's the loveliest day's policing, of course, to sit at your desk with a digestive biscuit and a cup of coffee, and to scroll throught Twitter to find if a woman somewhere in Doncaster has 'liked' something that she shouldn't have done" — Douglas Murray

which is your talk? I want to see the recording
Try a different one. It is 2B model, so it's not very good, but better than nothing, I've used it already several times.
Phi is supposed to be also good.

Yesterday I was in a forest with zero signal. There were mosquitoes around. I remembered that some B vitamins are supposed to repel mosquitoes, but I needed to confirm, to sound cool with my family. Luckily, I had the MLC Chat app with the tiny Gemma 2 2B model (only a few GB) downloaded for offline use.
Unfortunately, it said it's a common myth, no B vitamins can repel mosquitoes.
But the app is a must-have for prepping and emergency situations. Imagine you are somewhere in the middle of nowhere, infrastructure is down, you have this tensor enabled hyper AI turbo phone and it could have answered your question, but you did not install the app. Install it now.
Add this to Obtainium: https://github.com/mlc-ai/binary-mlc-llm-libs
The future is now, AI in your pocket, in the forest.
Damus is not on Android I believe.
There's nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q for both I think.
But if it's better, recommendations for Android and iOS can be different. It seems that Primal is the way to go though, the only thing I don't like that much is the integrated wallet with all the things required to sign up.
If I flip, it is OK, I did not try that before, thanks. I don't really use the phone flipped.
I don't know if the blinking issue remains when flipped, it only happens sometimes, so I don't know how to reproduce it reliably.
Thank you, fixed!
Is it also the case with "secret chat"?
My nephew just created (with my help) a Nostr account for his drawings. nostr:npub1uq663j5sc7a68g82mcy8zqp2zw7j8hskmjwjtrz53y06ggh7nz7smzfty4. I created an npub site for him as well. Facebook/Instagram would not have him, it's since 13/18 years (even though his parents approve).
Question: Are there kids nostriches here he could follow? Especially if they like drawing.

Hey nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg, there is this annoying bug.
I have a folding Android device (Pixel Fold with GrapheneOS). It either looks like this, where only half of the screen is used, or it is full screen and blinks through black screen a few times per second (that's when I close it and switch to Amethyst for a few days).
would someone look into it?

Wait, it allows nostr wallet connect with external wallet now?
ooooooukeeeeeyyyy!
that was my hunch, I like it, except for the integrated wallet based on email and custodial.
Yes, they are basically sharing nsec, only you can just tell them the password, they don't even know there's an nsec. It's calculated in JavaScript on the page. So this works for communities that think they are blogging online.
I've migrated one such community that is operating since 2006 to Nostr - nostr:npub1az5kfqpg5hqdma3dxt4yn4wln9ly2wvqjseauq8nhhz3vd9dg7fqv5meat. The backend was ugly PHP and shell scripts, now it's Nostr native, but the interface to the users looks exactly the same, many probably did not even notice it's on Nostr. But now you can repost, zap, ...
I was thinking about sharing password on traditional social media, but for several of these communities they would probably be cancelled. And changing password is a problem. Another problem is an e-mail, or the need to KYC in some cases. With shared nsec, no one has any extra power over the account, with traditional social media, the person that controls the e-mail has extra power and possibly extra responsibility.
With the Nostr approach, all there is are one to four static files (HTML / JavaScript), which can be hosted on blossom drives. And the only thing people need to know is the password.
I don't understand your question.
Green Wallet has mobile and desktop versions, the mobile (Android, iOS) is pretty good and up to date, the desktop version is based on an older version of Green.
It has nothing to do with hardware wallets, although you can use Jade and it works pretty well.
