People have a right to disassociate with people as well as associate with them
Moderation tools could be developed externally to help people filter garbage out of their feed
The biggest problem with this place is it’s full of spam, batshit fascists, and qanon/conspiracy people

It’s a bad design for nostr to just allow mutes. Even if you mute all the awful people posting horrible things, everything they post is still there for others to view when they check out your posts. Meaning your account is basically radioactive to your followers unless every follower also mutes them all.
It’s more pathetic than anything but some people are just awful human beings
The concentration of wealth is its own form of centralization and decentralized toolchains should be designed around the principle of discouraging that concentration

So do relays need to be compliant with German hate speech laws? If someone owned a relay located in Germany and it served a swastika or anti-LGBT stuff to users wouldn’t they be required to remove it or face legal consequences?
