Dr Hussam Abu Safiya has been subjected to torture and abuse by his Israeli captors. The relief, according to Al Jazeera's Nour Odeh, is that at least he is alive.
Dr Abu Safiya refused repeadly to abandon his patients at Kamal Adwan hospital in the face of Israeli threats and orders to leave.
At least 2 doctors have been murdered in Israeli prisons through torture. More than 300 medical professionals from #Gaza are still being held, their fate - unknown.

The Israeli army has been shooting at and killing people waiting for aid in northern Gaza for weeks now.
More than 400 people have been killed in this way, including more than 110 in the "Flour Massacre".
There does not seem to be any global reaction to these regular massacres of starving people.
