Something I ask myself in #gamedev : Do I reinvent the wheel? I could easily use someone else's. My own has imperfections. It grinds and goes bump, but it still spins.
If someone forked Urbit to run on Nostr instead of Ethereum I would give it a chance.
After trying Primal for a few days, I still prefer Amethyst. The biggest con for me was the feed defaulting to follows+replies. Also having to use an external browser to play media files is a bad UX. I missed custom reactions. Wallet verification is pretty cringe.
It's a solid client, but I got a feature-creep vibe from it lately. Trying to be an everything app.
I see a similar phenomenon with crows. In Vancouver they are quite small and scrawny. But in rural Alberta they are big as chickens!
