Thinking about it, the larger problem is not supporting and defending Ukraine, with full European support they can hold their lines I think, the larger problem is the implosion of the USA, it's alliance with Russia, which can lead to all kind of new conflicts in Europe.

The courts are not going to stop Musk / DOGE / Trump breaking down government. Things have to get much worse before there is a chance that they get better I am afraid. The resistance is too limited and not organised enough. What a difference with the 60s/70s for example and the civil rights movement then? What also strikes me is that there is no clear leader in resisting Trump/Musk.

From a technology perspective things will get messy in Europe, Vance has confirmed the US will go in full attack against our regulations (AI Act, DSA , DMA etc), how will we react, will we compromise or not? Big risks are involved because we are extremely dependent on US tech. The US could "shut us down" if they like...(Cloud, services etc). We should start migrating to EU tech and services ASAP and/or start to build them.

NotebookLM is super useful if you quickly want to read/comprehend a document in a languange you are totally not familiar with, upload the document in a notebook, you have a summary/overview, can ask questions about it etcetera In my case it did wonders with a russian document but also with a technical book in german.
