Bitcoin shower thought: I was placed in a foster home at 14 to await my moms rehab stint. Her rehab was x months, but the courts required her to live independently for a certain period of time before they would let me return. The schedule rounded out to six months. At month five, she left and ram off with some dude, leaving me stuck in the foster home. I spent many nights plotting my escape and thinking about the future. Eventually I was adopted by my grandparents. I didn’t know it then, but this was my introduction to longer time preferences. I could have escaped, but I knew I wouldn’t get far. Besides, where would I have gone? I had to start working on a plan to get out and I knew anything like that would take months, maybe years. But I knew things would be better one day. Just like Bitcoin.

Work is sending me to Napa Valley and I have to say I am not excited. I prefer a more rough and tumble crowd over the wine folks. Probably going to be boring.
