You can agree solo. Just run other software and hardfork from Bitcoin. In the end, the hashrate seems to be the indicator what 'the people' want.

The newborn is such a lovely distraction and I also switched jobs which together was really intense. I found that my focus was drifting away from Nostr. I did check to see if the service was still running but neglected to answer the private messages. For this I am sorry.
When I was explaining Nostr to a coworker the other day I noticed how I'm still very much enthusiastic about this protocol and the development. I decided to dust of my relay list and get more active.

Still handing out free Nostr-Adresses (NIP05) to spice up your profile!
Short info about NIP05;
Your account is made with a public key, which is very long and confusing. In order to make 100% sure you are talking with the person you think you are, you should check the npub key. Dont trust, verify, right? To help in this process there is the NIP05 nostr-adress. Your npub is made simple; kinda like an email-address, easy to read and fast to check. Because your npub is linked via my domain to your NIP05 the client you are using will do the npub check. Only the owner of the account with the linked npub will show a valid NIP05, any other account will show it as invalid.
To clarify; This isnt linked to twitter, your profile name, your email-address or anything like that. Really just a way to make your npub easier to check and to see a nice checkmark in most clients! Some clients show it as 'verified' or with a checkmark, but you should always check for yourself and don't trust checkmarks, badges, names or profile pictures. Some are easily spoofed; name@N0str-check.com, did you notice the zero instead as an 'o'?

Depends. You can go full privacy mode and make a new npub for each app etc but it's hard to do 'social media' with multiple npubs, it will confuse others I guess. Think about your account management tho, if they can steal one can't they steal all?
I do recommend to make test npub (or a couple) to check out apps. Most of the times you can also login with the npub only so you are not giving away your nsec.
Also check out the extensions which login for you, so you don't have to copy/paste and accidentally drop your nsec somewhere.

Awesome! They are really good and fun. They also have great service. After one year it had some problems and we could just leave it at the desk and pick a new one from the store, it's sage's policy apparently.
Spend more time on selecting a coffeemachine then on my thesis 😅

Some (big!) personal news!
About 9 months ago I did my best zap ever, and next week someday my life is about to change! Due date is today and all signs are very good so far. My girlfriend is doing so well and i'll do my best to support her. It's our first so everything will be new and very exciting! 💜

The NIP05 service and domain will stay online, backups are in place and will try to check messages from time to time, but if you are waiting for some days on a message;

Whenever I orange pilled a friend I give them a ledger, let them do the whole setup the right way. I send them some sats and I then I tell them to wipe the ledger. This is always scary the first time.
After they reinstated the ledger we also skip Ledger' software and manage the coins in something else, most of the times Sparrow. They can now manage their sats even if the ledger gets lost in, for example, a boating accident.
