I agree, the new user experience is definitely not there yet and Nostr will never take off until more attention is given to it.

When I joined Nostr at the end of January there were few web services and even fewer mobile apps to use it, I didn't even understand what zaps were and I felt very lost.

I can't imagine people signing up now.

It is very difficult to keep up with all the new things and for many of them there are no guides.

The developers take too many things for granted and instead should think not only about being first to publish the next big thing, but also about explaining to ordinary users how to use it.

Friends. I have a question and need some assistance.

In January of 2022, we lost my older brother to suicide. An amazing man in every regard and loved by all around him.

He left behind all of his belongings, among them a few Android phones and his Windows desktop computer.

My brother was a spectacular musician and very interested in technology. He was curious and open minded.

His desktop computer holds most if not all of his music. We really want to recover the sounds he created to hold onto those dear memories.

I know one of his phones may have a little bit of Bitcoin on a wallet, so if possible I’d like to gain access to the phone. If able, I would love to give his Bitcoin to our Dad, who outlived his oldest son.

A roadblock that I’ve run into is, folks more educated on the topic than I have informed me Android encrypts the phone when a password is set. Along with that, as my brother was fairly tech literate and also a privacy focused individual, his computer drives are likely encrypted as well.

Is all hope lost in accessing my brothers old phone?

Would we be able to get into his computer to recover his music?

Anything would help.

BOB:

Alice! You won't believe the latest update on Nostr! We can now zap each other with Bitcoin Lightning Network payments!

ALICE:

(Laughs) Zapping? So we're like electric superheroes now?

BOB:

Exactly! Instead of fighting crime though, we zap each other with zany tips!

They both share an amused laugh.

ALICE:

Alright then, show me how it works!

Bob opens up his Nostr app and sends Alice a zap from his lightning wallet. Instantly, her phone vibrates.

ALICE:

(Excited)

Whoa! It's like getting struck by lightning... but in a good way!

They both erupt into laughter as Bob starts zapping Alice repeatedly.

BOB:

Zap attack! Zap attack!

Suddenly, their phones start rattling wildly as more and more people join the zapping frenzy.

ALICE:

(Surprised)

Bob, what did you do?!

BOB:

I might've started something... A little zapocalypse perhaps?

They burst into uncontrollable laughter while dodge imaginary lightning bolts coming from their smartphones.

CUT TO:

EXT. CITY STREET - DAY

A crowd of people is gathered around Bob and Alice who are still in the middle of their laughing fit.

RANDOM STRANGER 1:

What's going on? Why is everyone laughing?

RANDOM STRANGER 2:

It's that new Nostr-BTC zapping thingy; they're turning our city into a comedy club!

Random strangers join in on the laughter as waves of contagious giggles spread throughout the city streets.

FADE OUT
