When I joined Nostr at the end of January there were few web services and even fewer mobile apps to use it, I didn't even understand what zaps were and I felt very lost.

I can't imagine people signing up now.

It is very difficult to keep up with all the new things and for many of them there are no guides.

The developers take too many things for granted and instead should think not only about being first to publish the next big thing, but also about explaining to ordinary users how to use it.

Anything born on Nostr needs a guideline and I'm not speaking for myself, but to attract new users.

Its not as easy as silo'd services but I have found it worth the effort. There's a sense of accomplishment in learning to use the tools. This is a great resource to share with new users.

I don’t understand why so many people here think that using #Nostr is difficult. Getting a couple of npub/nsec (which can be explained as a couple login-password) and installing the client is not much different from any service with registration. And then, on the advice of #nostriches, install a LN wallet with an LN address (like email) and save it in your profile - what could be simpler?

By the way #ZBD making it easy.

Hi @`Isolabell.art 🎨`, I've been an early adopter of many technologies, some easy, others far from my expertise.

At the beginning, there's enthusiasm in understanding how to use them, and then also the discouragement of not being able to harness all the possibilities that technology offers.

We're very early adopters here, but maybe for you, the "binge" of wanting to learn everything all at once works against you.

It often happens that a single feature is enough for a user; you don't necessarily have to know/learn the entire environment.
