Yeah this technology is kind of a huge deal. Because the more humans interfere with everyone else's comms, the more everyone else wants them not to do that.

The barrier is that free speech is not for everyone. Some people hate encountering opinions and they're just more comfortable and happy to live in "hive think" mode, which they easily get from centralized social media in the form of algorithms.
