Film degrades over time, even when stored perfectly. Chances are that BFI print had faded with time. The 4k77 project looks really good, and from the leaks I've seen the new restoration coming in 2027 will be even better.

Just standard rounding. From my experience in retail it's a wash money wise. The tills reported the variance due to this and it was minor pocket change daily, positive some days, negative on others. 70% pay with tap anyways.

Yes that was changed in the '97 special editions, along with some other things. Thankfully some great people have restored a very nice copy of the original. It's available for download.
