My kid has grown 1.5 inches but not gained any weight for the past two months, despite eating. The doctor is worried. I’m stressed out. Guess I have to add fat and lots of nuts to the food to see if it gets better.

Most of nostr projects are FOSS and the app maintainers welcome contributions!
First step is to find a project you are interested in. Play around with many apps. Live dangerously, and copypasta your nsec.

Start small! Reach out to the devs, establish trust, and see if you like the process.
