Imo, when you die in office at 90, you stayed too long. Government service shouldn’t be a retirement plan. This shouldn’t be shit you do to keep yourself busy in your waning years.

I know everyone here is an expert in everything from criminal, constitutional and election law, but I’m not buying that this is as damaging to Trump as some are making it out to be. It could be costly to him. It could be a huge pain in the ass. He’s not penniless.
He’s rich. He operates under different rules. Do we really have to keep going over this?

For one, Trump needn’t have completed the purchase of the gun to have violated the terms of his bail. Two, it was an obvious violation. Will anything happen? No, because we do not apply the law equally in America.

I think I felt the same way about Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo and their anti-racist crusade as I did when it came to Crypto and NFTs. I wasn’t buying it but was suspending judgement until more details emerged.
You know what I want? A government that isn’t actively trying to fuck me. There does seem to be some middle ground between trying to help everyone and helping no one. Free speech. Universal healthcare. Social safety nets. Strong corporate oversight.
