The way I see it with supporting musicians is that it’s more about generating more fans, and that can be done by introducing people to them via livestream reaction requests. It’s much more important for visual artists to have dedicated patrons, and that is unfortunately much more rare and costly.

Everyone should follow nostr:npub1mm0eraw9am3l8pjwas6t9r7fn34ge3zty5yg3n856rvds485342qlqnm32 if they’re not already. Bitcoiner through and through, low time preference, funding artists so they’re able to do their best work.

We need more Stephen Chows in the world.

Thanks for your kind words, Owen! At some point I will return to 2019 levels of intensity but it was unsustainable to do that for very long lol. The focus right now is on the music scene in Japan, and Asia overall.

My conversation with Daniel Prince / Once Bitten! Podcast is out now! I’m not sure how to share the link but it’s out on Fountain and other platforms.

“The health of a nation’s fine art, or, let us say, of its finest art, depends on there being a few dozen people who have sufficient taste and foresight to buy enough contemporary work to keep the half dozen best contemporary painters and sculptors from starving.”

- Ezra Pound

When you understand how much of the arts are made up of passionate individuals who regularly sacrifice everything they have, it makes it easier to understand how much of a difference voluntary art patronage helps to make more of their dreams come true.

I shared a song with Wave Potter from a band with 8 followers. This is his reaction:

Just found out about Sound Enhancer in iTunes. To my ears it sounds dramatically better on the highest setting, so now I have to listen to all of my music again with fresh ears 😂
