LOL we actually did the same thing, just bought a really nice Chemex for pour overs, milk frother etc… and I love coffee. But to be honest it was killing my stomach. I think it’s just too acidic for me overall. I was a straight up coffee addict for 20yrs so it’s tough to give up. A few years back we bought an nespresso machine and I lost all moderation with coffee. I would have 5-6 espressos before work. It was bad.
I have been drinking mostly matcha, but have been adding a little bit of black tea here and there. Something about the caffeine in tea vs coffee that seems to be better for me. I used to have 5-7 cups of coffee a day. Now I’m at 1-2 cups of tea. So a big change. And a positive one.
