Introducing Mutiny Gifts: Onboard someone to Bitcoin by simply showing them a QR code. Once they scan the QR code, it will load up Mutiny Wallet on the web, allowing them to redeem the Bitcoin.

Mutiny Gifts is self-custodial through the whole process. Funds stay in your wallet until the receiver redeems it. You can revoke access at any time if the gift is not claimed. All thanks to the magic of NWC.
Gifts is our first Mutiny+ paid-only feature. Anyone can redeem a gift, but you need to be a paid user or self-hoster to create one.
Here's a gift for a lucky person! Be the first one to scan this from your mobile phone and you'll receive 50k sats.

You all are quick! Sats have been redeemed already from our blog post, twitter account, and nostr account. Congrats! We'll do more promotions around this in the future so stay tuned!

There's nothing for us to steal. We're not involved in user's funds.
Mutiny is now easier to self host!
We've re-engineered our storage solution, VSS, to run on a normal host, rather than Cloudflare's beta D1 service. Everything has been running smoothly since we migrated. Let us know if you have any issues.
https://blog.mutinywallet.com/self-hosting-mutiny/
VSS is a key part of Mutiny because browser storage can be at times unreliable, especially on iOS. VSS is end-to-end encrypted storage for lightning channel state. It also makes it easy to restore your wallet on another device.
The cool upside: now that this part of Mutiny Wallet is just a standard server + Postgres, it's a lot easier to self-host Mutiny. We put together a new repo with the core pieces you need, and we have docs there as well for how to self-host Mutiny on a VPS.
nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg , when I try to connect my Mutiny Wallet through Primal iOS it opens a webpage to a fresh wallet instead of one I already have.
nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg does not let me copy and paste the wallet connection into the app.
How do I solve this?

Open up your mutiny wallet and go to wallet connections. Create a new profile and open in primal button.
Great to hear! We do support many zapping related features too by the way.
Hopefully next month!
We pushed a release yesterday that should start to solve a lot of payment reliability problems. We've been working on this problem for months, trying to figure out what the problems were and what fixes it.
We're excited to share our research into that: https://blog.mutinywallet.com/fixing-payment-reliability/
We built our own internal platform for measuring payment success rates through a bunch of trail and error, with many configuration tweaks along the way. We store the results of that so that we may revisit what increased reliability.
If you have an interest in payments on LN or are building on LDK, we'd highly recommend you take a read and learn from many of the problems we've faced and how we've solved them. If we can be of any help to others, please reach out if you're seeing similar issues.
Please let us know if things improve. It's not going to eliminate payment failures by any means, but it should be greatly improved from where we've been at. We'll monitor things as we go and continue to make improvements now that we can quantify reliability.
We've migrated one of the services tonight and should be back up now. Sorry for the downtime this weekend.
We have a lot of error catching and most browser compatibility errors are caught but we'll have to revisit the lockdown mode case again.
We were back up in the morning yesterday but down again over night. The code for the new storage backend is complete, we just need to do the migration when everything is restored again. Sorry about the downtime, this is why we're still in beta figuring things out.
Anyone else not able to use nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg right now ?

Yeah sorry about this, our cloud storage is down again. We are working to migrate it because our current cloud provider keeps failing
Mutiny has been down for the last few hours and it's due to the backend database that holds lightning backups. We've been doing development on migrating to a new backend but it's not quite finished yet. Hopefully it is back up in the morning but we'll provide updates if not.
Shout out to nostr:nprofile1qqsd79ejwuvz7v246danxqs3hgw7f2q4qrqz6x27je8er0nhfmykwzqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejszrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqzxrhwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skcc3hj2p for creating blastr (cloudflare workers proxy relay that publishes to all known online relays). I utilize it for creating this bot.
Blastr is great for bots. Fire off on websocket or POST request and have that sent everywhere π
We want to announce that we are open sourcing our Hardware & Software Wallets databases. π
We are open to receive collaborations from anyone who want to add new wallets or improve the data. The goal is to have the most complete and honest website comparing Bitcoin wallets.

Awesome. Will submit a PR, a few updates to give on the mutiny side. Great website!
nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg I just tried to close a channel and it didn't give me a choice of fee rate, it picked 13.1 sat/vB, that's gunna take weeks. Should be able to choose no?
You should be able to still use those on chain funds though. Child pays for parent and hopefully the next transaction pays for both with a high enough fee.
We're going to think about this feature more thoroughly next month. There's a lot to consider, it's not an easy feature for mobile self custodial wallets.
The app would still be available to install too, if you didn't have it already. It would be on our GitHub or someone else would probably rebuild it.
