he's in the middle of a large refactor so new features have been a bit slow. keep in mind we only have one paid part time person.
we aren't making any money on this. we are losing money. the purple subscriptions barely cover half his salary, I guess even less so now. I think people underestimate how expensive software projects are.

He’s doing a good job, you are right, I’m not aware on how expensive software project can be. Did you stop being the main contributor on the iOS version ? Maybe Its because I am not aware of how the local relay model can add to my nostr experience but I thought there would be little perks beside having the TestFlight version.
A lot was said when the first wave of Damus Purple subscribers were about to renew (nip-05 post that has been deleted…). Since then, it feels like a dead project with onlya couple TestFlight updates. Tbh, I don’t feel like my subscription has been worth it.
Last testflight was submitted in July… You let it expired
