DEAD JOKE STOA

Lying is not legal under Elon Musk and punishable by banishment

Do people have this often? It never happened to me

Why I go to the office

So you can use a different protocol every day of the week

Right, for people making up stuff about Bluesky.

We have custom feeds - they can be coded, or there are 3rd party tools to make them, no coding required.

Your PDS (personal data server) can be hosted yourself, and you can migrate to it. This means if you post something ILLEGAL Bluesky will cut off access to THEIR AppView & Relays, but they can't remove your data entirely, which means you can bring your identity with you to another ATProto based app. Right now, we might not see many, but that's because Bluesky is building it out.

And the idea is, the web could be as it is now, with webapps, but you login with your ATProto identity, so from the normal user's perspective, nothing is different. In fact, it's an easier learning curve than Nostr is for most.

And for those calling it centralised, yes it is. It is centralised. But it's all open source, and Bluesky is building out the Protocol layer aswell as the Product (Bluesky itself). They are already in talks with standardising parts of the protocol, so that they don't own it anymore. The web can be the same, but your data comes with you. If Bluesky shuts down, some other app could reappear which uses the same data structure in your PDS to read/write posts. This means you can bring it around with you.

This is a good podcast/stream that happened yesterday with Dan Abramov, a developer at Bluesky: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5WVK7KfTAk

I recommend giving it a watch

Until there is only one instance you cannot go anywhere with your PDS and it doesn't look like there is going to be any anytime soon because it's an expensive operation. I'm observing them and I wish them well but especially with crypto investor looking for ROI at some point it doesn't look very promising. But for a couple of years it should give a lot of people Old Twitter. Then they'll move to the next thing

You're aggressive. What are you afraid of?

NARRATOR: Alas they didn't make it in time

If you don't like adult content then go back to this childish stuff you're hooked on so much

So it goes like this

The first Donald Trump's term was by many measures genuine and he went into politics somewhat naïvely. Also honestly. But the second (successful) term is nothing like that. Trump is a politician at this point and he practically becomes an emperor

But emperors are cool in movies and history books. This time it was not Donald Trump who was elected as a big fuck you to the establishment. Oh no. This time around he's a puppet in hands of a group of oligarchs where Elon Musk is a frontman but it's more likely that Peter Thiel or someone around that is pulling the strings

Trump will learn that people in the position of an emperor are slaves to their roles and decorum and there is much less that they can do. Which doesn't matter because he's there to distract people. He's our Zaphod Beeblebrox. He's a frontman to the frontman which might sound like overcomplication but this is an idea coming from people who hide behind shell companies whoch are behind shell companies behind shell companies etc. It's their schtick

The most impressive part is how well it works

There is no sleeping in New York metro

All these Donald Trump rants about Panama nad Greenland are a distraction. Don't fall for that

I would also plead not guilty so there would be a show and it would generate costs
