Hm, I did not appear to receive anything, but anyway you should zap #[4], not me!

I think they probably didn't realize yet that they can build whatever they were already building, but use nostr under the hood and 1000x their user base.

Yes, I'm typing this on iris right now. The icon next to the heart is just a link to open a Lightning wallet, it is not a NIP-57 zap. Some apps (Damus & Amethyst) implement NIP-57, which is slightly different.

This is separate from, at the moment IIUC, the zaps in those apps are fixed amount 1000 sats.

Everyone. Multiple times. Go to nostrgram.co, click your avatar top left, then click the little calendar icon in the profile box to reload your most recent list.

I don't think Iris does zaps, the ⚡ icon is just a lightning: link that opens your wallet (like Alby or whatever) to pay to some LN address.

Zaps have a particular protocol, NIP-57: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/57.md

Yeah it's almost hard to think about. Like: OK, I want to try out this new app I just built, but with 10 million users from day one. Go.

Depends on client. Damus & Amethyst are only 1000 sats. Alby & Snort support changing the amount. If you want to send different amount in the apps, click profile and send an amount to the LN address. (It won't register as a zap, tho.)

Too many zaps, don't know who sent what, thank you all ⚡💜🤙

I'm pretty sure it will. Plebs are tip of the spear, but the value proposition is too high, esp. for devs. All the cool shit will be built for nostr because users won't need to spend any time to build an audience, trying new apps & features is frictionless.

I'm not sure, I'm only aware of WoS that provides an LN address. nostrplebs.com has a forwarding service, like mine is maxmoney@nostrplebs.com but it forwards to my WoS. At least I can change it in the future without changing my address.

You're doing it wrong. Twitter is for finding nostr follows, not the other way 'round.
