Can I/should I replace the associated nostr pub key with my own? I'm using @minibits.cash if this can be done without breaking anything are there privacy or security implications?

Wouldn't it be cool if browsers opened nostr: links in your fav #nostr app? (like bitcoin: and mailto: etc.) It's not possible yet, right? 🤔

Yes you can, without DATUM (yet). I did the same but quickly realized you need lightning setup. Payouts are to small for on chain fees.

Yeah but if you're solo mining there should be payouts. I.e. you get the whole block if you win. That's the service I was referring to (like ckpool and public pool)

I assume WoS needs to do a swap from your channel to on-chain, hence the higher fee than regular on-chain tx. Still much too high though. Check out https://boltz.exchange/swap for comparison.

Kind of in two minds about continuing the development and growth of Minestr 🤔 I mean, building it is really fun from a coding perspective, but at the same time I don't like seeing people lose sats, even if it is to better players who win fairly. I understand that people enjoy playing it and also must take the responsibility for their decisions, but still... Bringing back the OpenSats donation will probably put my mind at ease to an extent, but just wanted to share this 💚😄
