Fighting against the greater flow of things is fine for some, but for others it can bring unnecessary stress and unhappiness. Value what you have, what you can do now. I've never seen a tutorial on it, but the GitHub repo does have some examples so it's pretty easy to get a simple app up and running. You'll need some basic JavaScript knowledge though. nostr-tools is another good library to get started with.
