IMO the biggest motivator behind climate nonsense is trying to get independent from Russia sourced energy for military reasons. That's why they are ok with renewables that destroy the environment or that awful german coal digging machine that devastates the landscape, but they are against nuclear because the largest uranium exporter in the world is right next to Russia and would immediately be annexed if there was ever a serious war between Russia and the west.

I had a dream last night where I was driving a car and then the sun went down and it got really, really dark so I turned the highbeams on. The grass on either side of the road got impossibly tall and started encroaching on the road until I could barely see the road, then I lost control and veered straight into the grass where I couldn't see anything.
I tried to find the road again but I couldn't, so I looked at my GPS on my phone and it was going haywire turning and moving all over the place. Then suddenly I wasn't driving anymore and was instead running with a flashlight and I ran straight over a sleeping lion who started to wake up so I turned around and tried to blind it with the flash light. Then I woke up with goose bumps.
Real but exaggerated and not a single policy pushed to address it is actually intended to address is.
