feeling nauseous today… 
there was a post here yesterday and someone asked how you got 100 followers by saying “hello world” and the reply was “the jack effect” and now it’s gone. anyway when i see a long string of replies that are all short and variations on the same thing i interpret those as bots. lots of jack posts have strings of bot replies, lots of lyn alden posts have bot replies so difficult to gauge “the jackbot effect” —or else his followers are just all super unwitty & not creative & can’t compose even a simple phrase.
@jack works to cultivate the not-so-obvious establishment status but one can always hope for honesty—like i posted a while back if @jack actually cared about protocols he’d endorse the guy who invented email not the hired kennedy leftover who is an absolute deception; there’s still time to defect, jack, or you can keep playing the piper, pied leading the people to nowheresville…

Basically I’ve accepted “they” will never atone for their sins and that reparations would be a path to atonement; more for them than victims of their crimes. I don’t think “AI” will outsmart us. I think one aim or purpose of Large Language Models is to dumb us down—to condense the complexity of language and thus obfuscate & confuse meaning as a way to degrade communication and social or group intelligence.
Random Thought Today On Grammar
For whatever reason I am thinking about grammar. Saw a video and the speaker had a title with the phrase “…you was…”. Then I’m thinking how in “straight” or “proper” English it would be “you were.” Then I’m thinking about the word “you.” In other languages there is “you” plural and “you” singular. So saying “you was” is essentially using grammar from a language that has a singular verb construction for “you.” Which actually makes more sense & is therefore correct. It makes more sense to have a “you” when speaking to a group and a “you” speaking to one person. So some people in the U.S. are speaking using a more sophisticated grammar system in a restricted or truncated language like English and it sounds “wrong” but actually is right in terms of the logic. Makes no sense NOT to have a “you” as singular. Black Americans sometimes say “you was” and are the most active & dynamic group in the U.S. wrestling with English in terms of coming up with new words, trends, meanings, bending/twisting it in music & spoken word, generally trying to wrench more out of it than the language offers innately. Like if your language was a piano with 88 keys and now you only have 36 to play how would you play? Interesting to think about as so-called “AI” is so heavily based on language—essentially conflating language with thought & knowledge and erasing or foregoing meaning, metaphor & metonymy.
