i see it a bit differently. if you are a victim having the sinful acts acknowledged rather than being further dehumanized via denial and gaslighting is meaningful. the truth feels good. even better than just an apology: reparations.
White men have been sacrificing the rest of us — and themselves — (see: The Catholic Church & Doctrine of Discovery) for their own comforts for quite a while.
But I see these structures collapsing. You have power. Spend your energy creating new structures & systems.
