i will finish a story i began earlier.
my grandmother—whose photos i posted recently—called the hotel room of her husband one time, her second, thus my step-grandfather not my biological one, and guess who picked up the phone?

because he had been given my step-grandfather’s hotel room.
oh! it musta been some kind of a mixup.
which hotel was this?
the ambassador hotel in l.a.
when did this happen?
oh i dunno precisely, but definitely early june, 1968.
why was my step-grandfather there?
well, he happened to be the california campaign coordinator for rfk’s presidential campaign.
me myself i’ve never managed a campaign but political campaigns are very much about the media, and when and where the candidate encounters the media which is often at entrances and EXITS.
therefore, i would assume, and this is all merely an assumption, that the california campaign coordinator would have written down, perhaps, the precise schedule of his candidate’s movements including where, how, and via which exit he would depart. again, this is all merely conjecture.
thus, if one desired to find out such information which could be used either innocently or nefariously, perhaps *somehow* being assigned to a hotel room that was clearly already occupied by the california campaign coordinator — otherwise why would my grandmother have phoned there, hotel rooms are usually assigned at check-in — might be rather convenient.
sy himself acknowledged this hotel mixup happened at a dinner party recalling my step-grandfather as well so this confirms to me it is a true occurence not just family lore.

what are we to make of the pelicot case? i get that most of you are bros who care more about crypto tycoons & social media ceos getting unfairly arrested, and i get that advocacy.
